Authorisation – Expert inspections and expert tests of technical equipment
Expert inspections and expert tests of classified technical equipment carried out for another natural person or another legal entity must be carried out by an employee with authorisation for such activities pursuant to Section 15 of Act No. 124/2006.
An expert inspection and test are conducted to check the safety condition of the classified technical equipment after the completion of manufacturing, assembly, installation at the site of future operation, reconstruction, and repair, as well as during its operation.
When is authorisation necessary?
An employer – a natural person (self-employed person) or a legal entity – may provide expert inspections and expert tests of electrical, gas, pressure and lifting installations and equipment only with authorisation issued by an authorised legal entity such as EIC.
A self-employed person with no employees may carry out expert inspections and expert tests of technical equipment without authorisation if they have the appropriate professional competence; professional competence is evidenced by a document under Section 16 of Act No. 124/2006.
What are the conditions for issuing authorisation?
- conclusion of an employment contract between the employer and an employee who has a document evidencing professional competence under Section 16 of Act No. 124/2006 covering the area for which authorisation is requested;
- adequate methods and scope for the execution of the activities from the technical, technological, personnel and organisational perspective.
How long is authorisation valid?
Authorisation is issued for an indefinite period.
