Certification – Passenger lifts and safety components for lifts
Are you a supplier of passenger lifts? As a supplier of passenger lifts, you are obliged to make a declaration of conformity before placing the lift on the market and carry out a conformity assessment of the lift.
A conformity assessment of a lift means an assessment of whether the lift conforms to its technical (design) documentation and meets all the essential health and safety requirements laid down in Annex I of Government Regulation No. 235/2015 or Directive 2014/33/EU.
A passenger lift is classified as a designated product under Government Regulation No. 235/2015 whose putting into service or placing on the market must comply with applicable regulations.
When is a conformity assessment necessary?
For passenger lifts and goods-passenger lifts that are a permanent part of a building or another construction project.
Documents issued by EIC as a notified body (NO 2005) are the basis for making a declaration of conformity and affixing the European CE (Conformité Européenne) conformity marking to the lift.
Who makes the declaration of conformity?
The declaration of conformity is drawn up exclusively by the supplier of the lift, thereby placing the product on the market in accordance with Slovak and EU legislation.
Is your commissioning deadline approaching?
We can offer solutions even for cases like these with a fast-track procedure whereby, if everything is in order and assessment of the manufactured lift identifies no shortcomings, a conformity certificate can be issued in five or even two days. An additional fee is charged for fast-track procedures in accordance with our general terms and conditions.
