Certification LVD – Low-voltage devices

Are you a manufacturer of low-voltage devices? As a manufacturer of electrical equipment with a voltage up to 1000 V AC or 1500 V DC, you are obliged to make a declaration of conformity before placing the electrical equipment on the market and carry out a conformity assessment of the electrical equipment.

A conformity assessment of electrical equipment means an assessment of whether the electrical equipment conforms to its technical (design) documentation and meets all the essential health and safety requirements laid down in Annex I of Government Regulation No. 148/2016 or Directive 2014/35/EU.

When is a conformity assessment necessary?

For electrical equipment referred to in Section 2 of Government Regulation No. 148/2016 with the exception of electrical equipment referred to in Annex 2 of Government Regulation No. 148/2016.

Who makes the declaration of conformity?

The declaration of conformity is drawn up exclusively by the manufacturer of the electrical equipment, thereby placing the product on the market in accordance with Slovak and EU legislation.
