Classified technical equipment must undergo official tests before it is put into use to verify that it conforms to the certified design documentation and meets requirements for safe operation including operator safety in accordance with applicable legislation and technical standards.
Classified technical equipment must also undergo periodic repeated official tests to confirm that it continues to meet requirements for safe operation including operator safety in accordance with applicable legislation and technical standards.
Which classified technical equipment must undergo official testing?
- Electrical equipment in group A
- Gas equipment in group A, group B items (a) to (c) using an acetylene medium and (g) plastic pipes
- Pressure equipment in group A
- Lifting and cableway equipment in group A
When is an official test necessary?
- If you install new classified technical equipment, testing must be carried out before it is first put into use (except for products subject to conformity assessment)
- After reconstruction of classified technical equipment
- After disassembly and reassembly of classified technical equipment
- After repair of a pressure component in classified gas or pressure equipment involving welding
When is a repeated official test necessary?
- At most, after every 6/10 years of operation of classified technical equipment as specified in the Annex of Decree No. 508/2009
- After a period specified during the previous official test
- Before classified technical equipment is returned to operation
- After downtime lasting more than one year
- If the use of the classified technical equipment was prohibited by a labour inspector
