Section 16 – Inspectors of gas, pressure and lifting equipment
Under legal regulations and other regulations on occupational health and safety, the activities of an inspector of gas, pressure and lifting equipment under Section 16 must be performed by a natural person with valid licence.
Licence under Section 16 authorises technical inspectors to carry out expert inspections and expert tests within the scope of their qualification according to an established working procedure and in accordance with legal regulations and other regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety.
What are the conditions for issuing certification of a technical inspector under Section 24?
- age at least 18 years;
- completed secondary or higher technical education
- experience in accordance with legal regulations for ensuring occupational health and safety
- medical fitness for the role of a technical inspector confirmed by a medical report issued within the last 6 months
- confirmation of completion of vocational training (education) by an authorised education and training organisation
- successful verification of professional knowledge conducted by the authorised legal entity EIC
On satisfaction of these conditions, EIC will grant the candidate certification as a technical inspector.
What is the procedure for verification of professional knowledge?
Verification of professional knowledge takes place in person and consists of a written part (test) and an oral part. The set of questions for the verification of professional knowledge is provided to candidates upon payment of the advance invoice.
